About
Tim Pryke shows work as Penzance Sunday Painter for the first time at Daisy Laing Gallery. An interest in telling stories, of a kind, inspired by personal observations, art history, literature, film and theatre reveal oil paintings of intimate interior spaces where an act is or is about to play out. The title of the show, Lucana refers to an absent space or missing part, a component that the artist hopes the viewer will reinterpret to create their own narrative within the paintings. Tim Pryke studied at Coventry University and the Royal Academy Schools, London and known for his abstract painting exhibited throughout the UK.
